Internet has become a basic need in Pakistan, whether for work, study or entertainment. A new report from Ookla has now revealed which broadband providers are delivering the best services in the country. The study is based on data gathered from millions of real users between January and June 2025.
According to the report, PTCL Flash Fiber took the lead as the fastest fixed broadband in Pakistan, with a performance score of 56.95. But the competition was very close. Transworld scored 56.71 while Nayatel followed at 56.31, showing that the top three providers are almost on the same level.
When it comes to city-wise performance, Islamabad came first with a median download speed of 20.36 Mbps. Karachi was second, and Rawalpindi secured third place. On the slower side, Faisalabad had the weakest speeds at 13.77 Mbps, followed by Multan and Peshawar. Despite these differences, PTCL Flash Fiber managed to hold the top spot in most of the major cities.
The regional breakdown told a similar story. Islamabad Capital Territory led the country with an average speed of 20.21 Mbps. Sindh was in second place, while Balochistan followed in third. On the other hand, areas like FATA, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa faced serious connectivity challenges, with very low average speeds.
Overall, the report shows that while PTCL Flash Fiber is officially the fastest broadband provider, the gap with Transworld and Nayatel is minimal. For users, this means the competition is heating up, and better internet services may be on the way.
