Sindh Minister Nasir Hussain Shah Offers to Pay ICC Fine Imposed on Haris Rauf

Sindh’s Minister and senior PPP leader, Nasir Hussain Shah, has announced that he will personally pay the fine imposed by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf.

In a post on X, Shah praised Haris Rauf and opener Sahibzada Farhan, calling them “brave men.” He added that even if the fine was much higher, the entire nation would still stand with them and support their spirit. His statement came after Rauf was fined 30 percent of his match fee for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during the Asia Cup match against India.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, had earlier expressed full support for Rauf as well. On the other hand, Sahibzada Farhan was only given a warning and did not receive any financial penalty from the ICC.

This show of solidarity from political and cricket leaders highlights the strong support Haris Rauf continues to receive despite the disciplinary action. It reflects how players who put their passion and commitment into the game are valued by both the nation and its leaders.
