Mohsin Naqvi Reveals How India Can Get Asia Cup Trophy

A surprising situation unfolded during the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting in Dubai, chaired by ACC President Mohsin Naqvi. According to sources, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Vice President Rajeev Shukla asked Mohsin Naqvi about handing over the Asia Cup trophy to the Indian team.

In response, ACC President Mohsin Naqvi remarked that the matter of the trophy was not on the official meeting agenda. However, as Rajeev Shukla continued to insist, Naqvi stated that if the Indian team wanted the trophy, their captain should personally visit the ACC office to collect it from him.

Meanwhile, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav clarified that his team had not refused to take the Asia Cup trophy. Despite the discussion, the meeting ended without any final decision on officially handing the trophy to India.

The debate over the trophy added unexpected drama to the ACC meeting, which was originally focused on cricket’s administrative matters in the region.
