The Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) has announced that Pakistan will be able to see the first of three supermoons of 2025 on Tuesday night, October 7.
According to SUPARCO, the supermoon will reach its peak brightness at 8:47 p.m. Pakistan time. During this time, the moon will look around 14% larger and almost 30% brighter than a normal full moon, making it a stunning sight for skywatchers.
The moon will be positioned about 361,457 kilometers away from Earth. It will rise in the eastern sky shortly after sunset and remain visible throughout the night before setting early in the morning. Saturn will also be visible close to the moon, making the night sky even more beautiful.
SUPARCO further shared that two more supermoons will appear later this year — on November 5 and December 5. Among them, the November supermoon is expected to be the brightest of 2025.
