Pakistan has made steady progress in its auto industry, exporting 434 locally assembled vehicles worth Rs 1.42 billion to 20 countries over the past three fiscal years.
The achievement reflects the growing capacity and quality of Pakistan’s automobile manufacturing sector.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb shared the details in the Senate, noting that these exports included vehicles from leading brands such as Toyota, Suzuki, Honda, Hyundai, Changan, and Sazgar. This diverse range highlights the country’s ability to produce globally competitive models.
Pakistan’s vehicles have reached major international markets, including Japan, the UAE, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, and China. The consistent rise in exports, from 100 units in 2022–23 to 227 units in 2024–25, demonstrates the sector’s increasing global footprint and improving production standards.
Experts see this as a positive step toward strengthening Pakistan’s industrial base and boosting foreign exchange earnings. With continued policy support and focus on quality manufacturing, the country’s auto exports are expected to grow further in the coming years.
