Tiktok Removed 25.4 Million Videos in Pakistan Between April and June 2025

TikTok removed more than 25.4 million videos in Pakistan during April–June 2025 after they broke its Community Guidelines. This huge cleanup shows how seriously the platform takes user safety and wants to keep harmful content off people’s feeds.

Remarkably, 99.7% of those videos were flagged and taken down before anyone reported them. Most clips vanished within 24 hours of posting, thanks to TikTok’s automated detection systems.

Globally, the company axed nearly 190 million videos in the same period, underlining how widespread its moderation efforts have become. Breaking down the reasons for removal, misinformation topped the list at 45.0%, from false news to misleading health tips.

Close behind were sensitive themes, like graphic imagery or hate speech, at 30.6%. Safety issues such as self-harm content or dangerous challenges made up another 14.0%. Each category highlights different risks that TikTok’s teams are watching for around the clock.

The transparency report also revealed the removal of over 102 million fake accounts and profiles belonging to users under 13. By cutting out bots and enforcing age rules, TikTok hopes to build a more genuine and legally compliant community.

Taken together, these steps reflect TikTok’s push toward a safer, more trustworthy platform. While no system is perfect, the speed and scale of these removals show real progress.

For creators and viewers alike, it means fewer bad actors slipping through the cracks, and a clearer, more positive space to share and explore short-form videos.
