Good News! Govt to Refund Rs. 3.45 Billion to Pilgrims Who Performed Hajj in 2025

The government has announced that it will return Rs. 3.45 billion to more than 66,000 pilgrims who performed Hajj last year. The refunds come from savings made on accommodation, food, and transportation expenses during the pilgrimage.

According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the refund amounts will vary between Rs. 12,000 and Rs. 110,000 for each pilgrim, depending on the type of facilities they used.

All payments will be made directly to pilgrims through bank transfers by October 31. The ministry said this step reflects its commitment to transparency and fairness in the management of Hajj funds.

Looking ahead to Hajj 2026, the government has announced two packages. The 40-day Hajj package will cost Rs. 1.15 million, while the shorter 25-day package will be priced at Rs. 1.2 million. Both packages aim to provide better services and improved facilities to Pakistani pilgrims.

Pilgrims next year will also receive travel bags, local SIM cards, and upgraded training programs to make their journey smoother and more comfortable.

The ministry has emphasized that these measures are part of a broader plan to modernize Hajj operations and ensure that every pilgrim has a safe and well-organized experience.

Officials added that the savings and refunds from last year show the government’s efforts to manage funds efficiently.

They assured that future pilgrims can expect more transparency, improved coordination, and enhanced convenience at every step of the process from registration and travel arrangements to their stay in Saudi Arabia.
