Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has announced that parts of the country’s airspace will be temporarily closed for two days.
The closure will take place from October 28 to October 29 as part of a routine airspace management exercise. This step is being taken to ensure the safe and smooth flow of both domestic and international air traffic.
According to a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued on Monday, some specific air routes will remain closed between 12 p.m. on October 28 and 3 p.m. on October 29. The CAA emphasized that the decision is purely technical and part of regular operational procedures. It is aimed at improving air safety and managing flight patterns efficiently.
A spokesperson for the CAA stated that flights may be rerouted through alternate paths if necessary. However, the closure will not disrupt airport operations or cause delays in commercial flight schedules. Passengers are advised that all major airports across Pakistan will continue to function normally.
The authority reassured travelers that air traffic controllers and airlines have already been informed to make necessary adjustments. The temporary measure highlights Pakistan’s commitment to maintaining international aviation safety standards. Once the brief closure ends, normal flight operations will resume without any interruption.
This proactive step by the CAA reflects its continuous efforts to enhance flight safety and ensure better airspace coordination.
Travelers can remain confident that their flight plans and schedules will stay largely unaffected during the two-day adjustment period.
