Turkey Stood Like a Rock with Pakistan During the W@r with India: PM Shehbaz

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised Turkey for its unwavering friendship with Pakistan, recalling how the country stood by Pakistan “like a rock” during times of conflict with India.

Speaking at an event in Islamabad to celebrate Turkey’s Republic Day, he said that the bond between Pakistan and Turkey is built on mutual trust, respect, and shared values that have strengthened over the years.

The Prime Minister highlighted the deep cooperation between the two nations in key areas such as economy, defense, and strategic affairs.

He said that both countries have worked together to expand trade and investment opportunities, adding that Pakistan values Turkey’s support in times of need whether political, military, or humanitarian.

Shehbaz Sharif also acknowledged Turkey’s consistent support for Pakistan’s position on the issues of Palestine and Kashmir. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s own backing for Turkey on the Cyprus issue, stressing that both countries have always stood by each other on international platforms.

The Prime Minister said that Pakistan and Turkey share not just diplomatic ties but also strong cultural and religious bonds that bring their people closer together. He expressed hope that this partnership will continue to grow in the coming years, promoting peace and stability in the region.

Concluding his speech, Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan is proud of its friendship with Turkey — a friendship rooted in history, strengthened by shared struggles, and built for a future of cooperation and mutual progress.
