Pakistani companies are seeing tangible business growth through their participation in the China International Import Expo (CIIE). At the 8th CIIE being held in Shanghai from November 5–10, over 20 Pakistani firms are showcasing a diverse range of products — from handicrafts and marble to carpets, apparel, furniture, and jewelry.
WINZA Jewelry’s CEO Aqeel Chaudhry revealed that joining CIIE has transformed his company’s performance — “Our annual sales have grown by 30% on average since we started exhibiting here. China’s share in our global sales has jumped from 20% to over 50% in just seven years.”
According to Pakistani Consul General Shehzad Ahmad Khan, more Pakistani companies are now investing in larger, customized booths to increase visibility and capture market share — a clear sign of rising confidence in the CIIE platform. The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) continues to back SMEs through the national pavilion, helping them tap into China’s massive consumer market.
During Q1 FY2025–26, Pakistan’s exports to China’s Yangtze River Delta region surged 21.1% year-on-year to $297 million, with total trade reaching $2.69 billion — solid proof that CIIE is driving real commercial results for Pakistani exporters.
