All students and teachers of Cadet College Wana have been rescued safely after a terrorist attack on the campus. The security operation, which began shortly after the assault, is now in its final stage as forces continue clearing the area.
According to security officials, three terrorists remain inside the college premises but have been cornered and are not near the students’ residential block. The attack began with a suicide explosion at the main entrance, injuring 15 civilians and four security personnel.
Security forces responded swiftly, engaging the attackers in an intense gun battle. Two terrorists were killed during the exchange of fire, while others were surrounded as the Pakistan Army launched a full-scale clearance operation.
Students and teachers praised the quick and brave action of the army, thanking them for protecting their lives and ensuring their safety. Many also condemned the attackers’ attempt to spread fear and disrupt education in the region, calling it an assault on peace and progress.
Local residents also expressed relief and gratitude toward the armed forces for their timely response and courage. The area around the college remains secured, and authorities have confirmed that all hostages are safe and accounted for.
