A man in Lahore was taken into custody after he attempted to cross the Ring Road on foot, which officials say is the first incident of its kind. According to police, the man suddenly appeared near the Nawaz Sharif Underpass and caused disruption on the busy, high-speed route. Drivers were forced to slow down, and officers said the situation could have led to a serious accident.
The Senior Patrolling Officer registered an FIR and explained that strict action is necessary to stop similar behaviour in the future. Authorities reminded the public that the Ring Road is designed only for vehicles and not for pedestrians. They stressed that following traffic rules is important to keep both drivers and the general public safe.
