Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has suspended two female flight attendants following a violent altercation at Jeddah airport in Saudi Arabia. The incident involved crew members who were scheduled to operate a PIA flight from Jeddah to Multan and has raised concerns about crew conduct abroad.
According to reports, the disagreement between the two attendants started as a verbal argument in the departure lounge but later turned into a physical scuffle. The situation became serious enough that a PIA official present at the airport had to step in to control the matter and prevent further disruption.
A video of the incident later appeared on social media, quickly gaining public attention and prompting questions about professionalism and discipline within the national airline. The footage showed the altercation taking place in a public area, which added to the embarrassment for the airline.
A PIA spokesperson confirmed that the incident occurred on December 23. The spokesperson stated that both flight attendants were immediately suspended from duty after the incident was reported. An internal inquiry has been launched to investigate the matter in detail.
PIA officials said that disciplinary action will be taken according to the airline’s rules and code of conduct once the inquiry is completed.
