Iran launched three domestically built observation satellites—Zafar-2, Paya, and Kowsar 1.5—into space from Russia’s Vostochny Cosmodrome using a Soyuz rocket, marking a new step for Tehran’s space program despite Western sanctions.

Tehran says its aerospace program is peaceful and follows UN Security Council resolutions.
