Karachi’s mayor has announced a major plan to speed up development work across the city, saying that all ongoing projects will be completed within the next 100 days.
The announcement was made during a meeting at City Hall, where the mayor said the goal is to improve the city’s condition and rebuild public trust.

The mayor stressed the importance of strict monitoring and accountability. He directed officials to closely track progress and quickly resolve any issues that could cause delays.
Coordination with provincial authorities and private contractors was also highlighted as a key step to remove obstacles and keep projects on schedule.
To involve the public, citizens were encouraged to report problems and share feedback through official government platforms. The mayor said public participation would help authorities identify issues faster and improve service delivery.
City officials added that weekly progress reports will be released to keep residents informed about the work being completed. They said this regular update system will ensure transparency and help maintain pressure on departments to perform.
