Biggest Broadcast Deal in Pakistan! PSL to Earn Rs. 18 Billion

PSL is on the verge of signing one of the biggest commercial deals in the history of the Pakistan Cricket Board.

Reports suggest that a franchise owner is preparing an annual bid of around ₨. 4.5 billion for the league’s broadcast rights. If approved, this deal could run for four years, reaching a total value of ₨. 18 billion.

There are indications that matches may be shown on Pakistan Television, giving fans across the country easy access to the games. Earlier, two major sports channels were disqualified from bidding because they failed to pay dues of ₨. 4.7 billion and ₨. 600 million, even after their deadlines were extended.

The PCB also took steps to ensure fair competition in the bidding process. Consortium bids were not allowed to prevent collusion, and a bid security of ₨100 million per category was set.

Analysts believe that the rising number of matches from 34 to 44 could make streaming rights more valuable, potentially reaching ₨7 billion.

The 11th edition of the PSL is set to start on March 26. With the league’s growing popularity, this new broadcast deal is expected to significantly boost revenue for franchises and the PCB alike.

Industry observers say that securing such a high-value agreement reflects the commercial strength of the PSL and could set a benchmark for future sports broadcasting deals in Pakistan.

Fans and stakeholders are eagerly awaiting official announcements as preparations for the new season continue.
