Iran Launches Ball!stic Miss!le Att@ck on U.S. Aircraft Carrier USS Abraham Lincoln

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says it has launched four ballistic missiles at the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN‑72) in the Middle East.

The strike was claimed as part of Iran’s response to recent U.S. and Israeli military actions that have sharply increased conflict in the region. Iran’s state media and military outlets released statements early Sunday saying the missiles were fired toward the carrier, which is operating in waters near the Arabian Sea.

According to the IRGC’s statement, the attack marks a new phase of confrontation and was meant to hit U.S. military assets in retaliation for what Tehran calls “aggression by the American‑Zionist alliance.” Iran added that land and sea would become “graveyards” for hostile forces if the conflict continues.

The USS Abraham Lincoln is one of the U.S. Navy’s largest carriers and serves as the flagship of a carrier strike group with several warships and aircraft. It has been deployed in the Middle East as part of broader American military activity amid rising regional tensions.

So far, there is no independent confirmation from U.S. military officials about damage to the ship. The U.S. Central Command has not immediately confirmed the strike, and reports vary on whether the missiles reached their target.

Meanwhile, American forces are reported to be on high alert in the region, engaging air defences and remaining ready to protect naval assets.

This missile launch follows days of intense confrontation after U.S. and Israeli operations targeted Iranian territory, leading to sharp criticism from Tehran.

At this stage, global leaders and international organisations are calling for restraint to prevent further escalation as diplomatic efforts remain limited amid the unfolding crisis.
