As a result of the recent entry and success of several new manufacturers, a huge number of automobile companies have expressed interest in Pakistan. According to a recent development, Skoda Motors has expressed interest in developing a vehicle assembly plant in Pakistan.
A Skoda Motors delegation met with the Pakistani Ambassador in Prague, Czech Republic, on Monday. Skoda Motors’ Head of Global Regions, Christian Seelen, as well as Petr Janeba, Head of Sales Asia, Ondej Cerny, Head of New Markets, Ambassador Muhammad Khalid Jamali, and Hassan Aslam, Head of Czech Pak Business Chambers, were all in attendance.
Skoda Motors, formerly known as Laurin & Klement, is a Czech automobile manufacturer based in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic. Skoda Works, an industrial behemoth that became state-owned in 1948, bought Laurin & Klement in 1925.
With a presence in more than 100 countries, Skoda is one of the most popular automakers in many parts of the world. In the VAG group of companies, it is also the second most profitable automaker, behind Porsche.
