From Pakistan to the Arctic! Samar Khan Crosses Finish Line of 300 Kilometers Fjällräven Polar

Pakistani adventure athlete Samar Khan has completed the challenging Fjällräven Polar 2026, a 300-kilometre dogsled expedition across the frozen Arctic tundra. She crossed the finish line with high spirits, becoming the first Pakistani to take part in this tough Arctic adventure.

The expedition started in Swedish Lapland and ended near the Norwegian fjords. Samar and 19 other participants from around the world travelled with about 180 Alaskan huskies. They faced freezing temperatures, strong winds, and difficult snowy terrain while learning survival skills and working closely with the dogs.

Samar, who grew up in the Hindukush Mountains of Pakistan, is known for introducing action sports like snowboarding to her country. She is also the first woman in the world to cycle on the Biafo Glacier. Before the trip, she faced visa delays but finally made it to represent Pakistan on the international stage.

In her message after finishing, Samar wrote: “From Pakistan to the Arctic! I’ve officially crossed the finish line of the 300 km Fjällräven Polar 2026 dogsled expedition.” She described the journey as unforgettable, full of endurance, teamwork, and pure adventure.

The week-long event tests physical and mental strength. Participants learn to drive sleds, camp in extreme cold, and respect nature. Samar said the experience pushed her limits, created lifelong memories, and strengthened her love for exploration.

Her achievement has brought pride to Pakistan. Many people praised her courage and hoped her success would inspire more young Pakistanis, especially women, to follow their dreams in adventure sports. Samar thanked Fjällräven, her team, and supporters who helped make this possible.
