High-Level Pakistani Delegation has Arrived in Iran, ISPR

A high-level Pakistani delegation, led by Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, has arrived in Tehran, Iran.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the delegation reached the Iranian capital on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and other senior civil and military officials are also part of the team.

The visit is part of Pakistan’s continued diplomatic efforts to ease tensions between the United States and Iran. Pakistan has been playing an active role as a mediator since the recent conflict. The delegation aims to support ongoing peace efforts and help create conditions for meaningful dialogue between the two sides.

This trip comes after the first round of high-level US-Iran talks held in Islamabad, which ended without a final agreement. Pakistan is now working to keep communication channels open and push for de-escalation in the region.

During their stay in Tehran, the Pakistani delegation is expected to meet Iranian leaders, including senior government and military officials. The discussions will focus on regional stability, the current ceasefire, and ways to prevent further conflict.

Pakistan has maintained friendly and balanced relations with both Iran and the United States. Islamabad’s role as a neutral facilitator has been appreciated by many countries. The visit highlights Pakistan’s growing importance in regional diplomacy.
