Saeed Khatibzadeh, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, has said that the American side is engaging in excessive rhetoric during ongoing diplomatic engagements, warning that such an approach could complicate an already delicate negotiation process. He stressed that meaningful progress depends on restraint, mutual respect, and a focus on tangible outcomes rather than public messaging, reflecting concerns within Tehran over what it views as disproportionate signaling from Washington.
He further noted that while diplomatic channels remain open, the success of any potential agreement will require balanced communication and consistency from all parties involved. Khatibzadeh reiterated that Iran is willing to continue talks in good faith, but cautioned that overstatements and mixed signals could erode trust and hinder progress at a critical stage in negotiations.
