From Airports to Districts! Govt Announces New Facilities for Overseas Pakistanis

The Overseas Pakistanis Commission has introduced new steps to better support Pakistanis living abroad. These measures aim to improve both legal services and travel experience for overseas citizens when they return to Pakistan.

According to officials, special courts will be set up in every district to handle cases related only to overseas Pakistanis.

These courts will focus on resolving legal matters quickly and on a priority basis. The commission said that all necessary administrative and judicial arrangements have already been completed to launch this initiative.

The purpose of these courts is to reduce delays and provide faster justice to overseas citizens, who often face difficulties in handling legal cases from abroad. Authorities believe this step will build trust and encourage stronger connections between overseas Pakistanis and their home country.

In addition to legal support, the commission has also announced the creation of 24/7 facilitation desks at major airports. These desks will be available at Lahore Airport and Islamabad Airport.

The facilitation desks will assist passengers with immigration, customs, and other travel-related services. Officials said the goal is to provide quick help and make the arrival process smoother for overseas Pakistanis.

Authorities added that these measures are part of broader efforts to improve services for citizens living abroad. By offering better legal and travel support, the government hopes to address common concerns and make their experience more convenient and efficient.
