Saudi Arabia to Reopen Umrah Visas on May 31

Saudi Arabia will start issuing Umrah visas again from May 31, 2026, according to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. This marks the official reopening of the Umrah season after the completion of Hajj 2026.

The ministry temporarily stops issuing new Umrah visas before and during the Hajj period for better crowd management and operational reasons. Once Hajj concludes, the kingdom resumes Umrah activities to allow millions of Muslims from around the world to visit the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.

This announcement brings good news for Pakistani pilgrims, as Pakistan sends one of the largest numbers of Umrah visitors to Saudi Arabia every year. Travel agents and pilgrims can now begin making plans and bookings for Umrah packages.

From June 1, entry into Makkah and issuance of Umrah permits through the Nusuk app will also resume. The new Umrah season is expected to run smoothly with improved facilities and services for international pilgrims.

Pakistani pilgrims are advised to apply for visas through authorized travel agents and complete all necessary health and travel requirements. The reopening is expected to boost religious tourism and provide relief to those who were waiting for the new season to begin.
