Balochistan has officially launched its first-ever Entrepreneurship AI Lab dedicated to women, marking an important step toward promoting digital inclusion and economic empowerment in the province. The initiative has been developed through a collaboration between the Women Development Department and DOCH Private Limited, with the goal of equipping women with modern skills required in today’s rapidly evolving digital economy.
The newly established lab will provide women with hands-on training in areas such as artificial intelligence, freelancing, digital entrepreneurship, and other emerging technologies. Through this program, participants will not only gain technical knowledge but also practical experience that can help them start online businesses, work remotely, and explore technology-driven career opportunities. Officials believe that such training will play a key role in improving financial independence and creating sustainable income sources for women across both urban and rural areas of Balochistan.
The project is also expected to open doors for innovation and startups led by women, encouraging them to actively participate in the digital marketplace. By introducing advanced learning opportunities at the local level, the initiative aims to bridge the technology gap and ensure that women in the province are not left behind in the global shift toward AI and digital transformation.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Rubaba Khan Baloch highlighted that women in Balochistan possess immense talent and potential. She emphasized that providing them with access to modern technology, innovation platforms, and entrepreneurial training is essential for their progress and for the overall development of the region. She further noted that empowering women through such initiatives will strengthen communities and contribute to long-term economic growth.
