Saudi Arabia Distributes Qur’an in 80 Languages to Departing Pilgrims

Saudi Arabia has begun distributing copies of the Holy Qur’an and its translated editions to departing Hajj pilgrims as part of the annual gift from King Salman bin Abdulaziz. The initiative is being carried out at airports and other departure points across the Kingdom, including King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, ensuring that pilgrims receive the sacred gift before returning to their home countries.

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has allocated approximately 1.9 million copies of the Holy Qur’an, all printed by the renowned King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur’an. To serve the diverse backgrounds of pilgrims from around the world, the Qur’ans and their translations are available in more than 80 languages, enabling recipients to better understand and reflect upon the teachings of Islam in their native languages.

The distribution campaign extends across air, land, and sea ports, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s extensive efforts to facilitate a smooth departure process for millions of pilgrims after completing their Hajj journey. Officials noted that the initiative highlights the Kingdom’s dedication to serving Islam and Muslims while promoting the message and values of the Holy Qur’an globally.

For many pilgrims, receiving a copy of the Holy Qur’an at the conclusion of their spiritual journey serves as a meaningful and lasting reminder of their Hajj experience, strengthening their connection to the faith long after they return home.
