Pakistan to Become the First International Buyer of China’s J-35 Stealth Fighter Jets – 40 Aircrafts on the Way!

Pakistan is expected to become the first foreign country to operate China’s advanced J-35 fifth-generation stealth fighter jets. Reports say the Pakistan Air Force has signed an initial agreement for up to 40 aircraft.

This big defence deal is part of a larger modernisation plan. It may also include KJ-500 AWACS aircraft for better surveillance and HQ-19 air defence systems. Pilot training for Pakistani officers has already started in China. Infrastructure upgrades and preparations for ground crew are underway at selected air bases. First deliveries could begin soon.

The J-35, made by Shenyang Aircraft Corporation, is a twin-engine stealth fighter. It features internal weapons bays, a low-observable design, and can reach speeds near Mach 1.8. The aircraft is approximately 17.3 metres long, with a wingspan of 11.5 metres and a maximum takeoff weight of around 28,000 kilograms. It can carry air-to-air and land-attack missiles. Experts compare it to the American F-35.

This move builds on Pakistan’s successful use of Chinese J-10C fighters. The full package is worth several billion dollars. It will help modernise the Pakistan Air Force and improve national defence capabilities.

The deal shows the strong defence partnership between Pakistan and China. It is expected to change the balance of air power in the region.
