Heavy Rainfall and Thunderstorms Expected Across Pakistan from June 11 to 13

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted dust storms, rainfall, and thunderstorms across many parts of the country from June 11 to June 13, and has advised authorities to stay alert.

This weather system is caused by a western disturbance combined with moist winds coming from the Arabian Sea, which will affect upper and central regions of Pakistan.

Heavy rain, strong winds, and isolated hailstorms are expected in cities such as Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and nearby areas.

Areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and parts of Balochistan and Sindh may also experience similar weather conditions.

The PMD has warned that this weather may cause urban flooding, landslides, and damage to weak structures in vulnerable regions.

Farmers, travelers, and disaster management teams have been advised to take precautionary measures and remain careful during this period.

Officials also said that strong windstorms could disrupt daily life, power supply, and transportation in some areas, especially during peak hours.

People are advised to avoid unnecessary travel, secure loose objects, and stay updated with weather reports issued by the PMD.

Authorities in all provinces have been asked to remain on high alert and ensure quick response in case of emergency situations arising from heavy rain or flooding.

Meanwhile, rescue and relief teams are also being prepared to handle any possible damage, while the public is urged to follow safety instructions and stay indoors during severe weather activity.
