Unannounced Loadshedding in Rawalpindi-Islamabad! Citizens Frustrated Over Govt Authorities

Residents of Rawalpindi and Islamabad are facing big problems due to sudden power cuts during a severe heatwave. Temperatures have hit 40°C, and the heat index has made it feel like 50.1°C. These unannounced electricity outages have made life very hard for people.

Many families cannot sleep at night because of the cuts. Water supply stops, traffic lights go off, and businesses lose money. Hospitals and daily routines are also badly affected. People pay high electricity bills but still suffer without any clear schedule for loadshedding.

Citizens are angry with the authorities for poor communication. Many complaints get no reply. “Officials should tell us the schedule in advance,” said one resident.

The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) explained that there is a shortage of about 400 MW of power. This happened because of high summer demand and less supply from the national grid. IESCO has apologised for the trouble and promised to improve the situation soon.

This crisis shows the ongoing power problems in Pakistan during the hot months. People hope for better planning and reliable electricity in the future.
