Through their new ‘Qaumi Tasdeeq-o-Tajdeed Campaign,’ Nadra can now reveal second marriages. This campaign introduces a new method for verifying family members. Every woman can now check to see whether their husbands or any other male family member is hiding a second marriage.
To find out about your husband’s second marriage, text his 13-digit CNIC number and the date of issuance to 8009. As you send this message, all of the specific person’s details will be given to you, and you may check to see whether any irrelevant people are named in the list of family members.
You will receive information about your family members as a result of your request. If you find any erroneous information or the name of an unconnected person in the list, please respond with a ‘1’ to notify NADRA.
The new approach will assist people in determining whether or not any unrelated individuals have been registered in their family. However, married women who want to keep an eye on their husbands will benefit more from the programme.
