Islamabad Petrol Pump Sealed After Driver Claims 61 Litres Filled Into 50-Litre Tank

Islamabad authorities have taken strict action against a petrol pump in Sector I-9 after a customer alleged that the station dispensed 61 litres of petrol into a vehicle with a fuel tank capacity of only 50 litres, raising concerns about possible fuel measurement fraud.

Acting on the complaint, the Assistant Commissioner, accompanied by a magistrate, conducted an inspection of the petrol station.

During the inspection, officials reportedly verified the irregularity, leading to the immediate sealing of the fuel station. Authorities also imposed a fine on the establishment and arrested the station manager for further legal proceedings.

The Islamabad administration stated that it is committed to protecting consumers from unfair and fraudulent business practices.

Officials emphasized that complaints from the public are being addressed promptly and warned that strict action will continue against any fuel station found violating regulations or deceiving customers.
