Flood Alert! NDMA Warns of Critical 48 Hours asChenab River Swells

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has warned that the next 48 hours will be critical as heavy monsoon rains continue to raise the risk of flooding across Pakistan.

Medium-level flooding has been reported at several locations along the Chenab River, including Khanki, Qadirabad, and Chiniot Bridge, while flash flood threats persist in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northern Balochistan, and Dera Ghazi Khan.

The authority has also cautioned about the possibility of urban flooding in several cities across Punjab. Residents have been urged to stay away from flood-prone areas, keep track of official weather updates, and follow safety advisories as water levels in rivers continue to rise.
