MDCAT 2026 Delayed! Test to Be Held on September 20

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has officially postponed the MDCAT 2026 examination, moving the test date from August 16 to September 20.

The decision was made following directives from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who emphasized the need for a more transparent, fair, and efficiently managed examination process for medical and dental college admissions.

According to PMDC, the postponement only affects the examination date, while all previously announced arrangements, including registration details and other procedures, will remain unchanged.

Students have been advised to regularly visit the official PMDC website for authentic updates and any further announcements regarding the exam.

The revised schedule is intended to provide authorities with additional time to strengthen administrative preparations, improve oversight, and ensure a smooth and credible examination process.

The move reflects the government’s commitment to maintaining transparency and fairness for thousands of aspiring medical and dental students across Pakistan.
