Pakistan, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia are taking initial steps toward creating a wider defence alliance involving up to 32 countries, according to Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
Fidan said the three countries have started working together through careful and practical measures aimed at building stronger defence ties. The discussions are seen as an important move toward greater security cooperation among Pakistan, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia.
The proposed alliance could bring together several countries to improve cooperation in defence and security matters. It may focus on strengthening joint defence capabilities, sharing experience and expertise, improving coordination, and supporting regional peace and stability.
Fidan stressed that such a major initiative would require a gradual approach. He highlighted the need for close coordination, mutual understanding and steady progress among the countries involved.
