Pakistanis Getting Richer? Car Sales Jump 141%, Over 17,000 Cars Sold In Just One Month

Pakistan’s car market started the new fiscal year with a sharp rise in sales. According to the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA), passenger car sales reached 17,216 units in July 2026, up 141% from 7,135 units sold in July 2025.

The rise has been linked to lower interest rates and easier bank financing, which have made car purchases more affordable for some buyers. The increase also comes as the wider auto market shows signs of recovery after a difficult period.

Among major models, the Suzuki Alto remained the best-selling car with 7,217 units. Toyota’s Corolla, Yaris and Corolla Cross recorded combined sales of 4,283 units, while Honda City and Civic sales stood at 2,529 units.

According to PAMA data for July 2026, the recent stats show major development in the auto market.
