A student from Daanish School has received a unique opportunity to step into the shoes of a senior government official by serving as Deputy Commissioner of Rajanpur for one day.
Muhammad Qasim was given the chance to experience the responsibilities associated with the position and gain a practical understanding of how district administration works. The initiative was designed to expose students to leadership, decision-making and public service beyond the classroom.
During the experience, Qasim was able to observe the working environment of the district administration and understand the responsibilities involved in managing important public matters. The opportunity provided him with a firsthand look at the role played by senior officials in serving communities and managing administrative affairs.
Such initiatives aim to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences. By allowing students to interact with public administration, programmes like this can help develop confidence, communication skills and leadership qualities from an early age.
The experience also gives young people an opportunity to think about their future and understand how they can contribute to society. Exposure to professional environments can encourage students to set ambitious goals and develop a stronger sense of responsibility.
Muhammad Qasim’s one-day experience as Deputy Commissioner of Rajanpur demonstrates how creative educational initiatives can give students lessons that go beyond textbooks and traditional classrooms.
The programme highlights the importance of providing young students with meaningful opportunities to explore leadership and public service. Experiences like these can help inspire the next generation to aim higher, take responsibility and play an active role in their communities.
