What if your robot dog could actually understand where it is and move on its own?
A Chinese tech company has launched Da Tou BoBo, described as the world’s first smart robot dog that requires no remote control. It can reach 13.3 km/h, carry up to 12 kg, and tow loads of up to 100 kg. Its 594Wh battery is rated for up to 5 hours of combined use.
The focus is on “spatial intelligence.” With a 128 TOPS computing platform, LiDAR, UWB, depth cameras and a self-developed spatial model, BoBo is designed to perceive surroundings, understand both semantic and geometric information, and plan its own routes—from dirt paths to crowded parks and complex barriers.
It can follow you, carry things, film automatically, remember points of interest, guide routes, or handle simple pickup-and-delivery tasks.
Official price: RMB 12,988 (about $1,930).
Would you want a robot dog that can actually follow you around?
