Pakistan’s technology sector has attracted another international company as Houston-based technology firm Mobiz has opened a regional office in Karachi.
The company has established its new office at the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park, adding to the growing presence of global technology businesses in Pakistan.
Mobiz provides technology solutions in areas such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data and cybersecurity. Its entry into the Pakistani market reflects the increasing interest of international firms in the country’s technology talent and expanding digital economy.
SECP Chairman Kabir Ahmed Sidhu welcomed the company’s arrival, describing the growing presence of international technology businesses as a sign of rising confidence in Pakistan’s skilled IT workforce.
He also highlighted Pakistan’s potential to develop into an important regional centre for technology and global services. The arrival of companies with expertise in advanced digital fields could create opportunities for local professionals and encourage greater integration with international technology markets.
Pakistan’s technology sector has been recording strong export growth. IT and IT-enabled services exports reached a record $4.6 billion during the 2025–26 financial year, reflecting the expanding contribution of digital services to the national economy.
Mobiz’s new Karachi office comes shortly after Google’s expansion in Pakistan, adding further momentum to the country’s efforts to attract international technology companies.
The establishment of regional offices by global firms can also strengthen business connections, support knowledge sharing and provide opportunities for Pakistan’s technology professionals to work with international organisations.
