The Lahore police, inspired by citizen-centric policing approaches, established its first official website on Thursday, allowing the public, particularly women, to directly report violence-related concerns to law enforcement.
While inaugurating the website at his office, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ghulam Mehmood Dogar said it was a one-of-a-kind project centred on citizen-centric policing and community awareness. He claimed that the website was user-friendly and met international standards, with features and a strong anti-hacking Drupal CMS mechanism.
According to the CCPO, the police authorities had also created and implemented a function to assist differently-abled people.
