Saudi Arabia has introduced its first CEER electric vehicles, taking another step toward building a domestic automotive manufacturing industry.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman unveiled the EXOBOT sedan and SUV, which represent the first two models in CEER’s planned range of seven vehicles. The models have been designed and engineered in Saudi Arabia and are expected to be manufactured at the company’s facility in King Abdullah Economic City.
CEER plans to expand its electric vehicle lineup by introducing additional models over the next five years. The initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to develop local manufacturing capabilities and strengthen its position in the electric vehicle sector.
The company was established in 2022 by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund. Its development is focused on supporting the growth of the country’s automotive industry through investment, innovation and local production.
CEER also aims to attract international investment, develop Saudi talent and create employment opportunities within the automotive sector.
The launch of the EXOBOT sedan and SUV marks an early stage in the company’s planned expansion, with further vehicle models expected to be added to its portfolio in the coming years.
The project reflects Saudi Arabia’s efforts to diversify its economy and develop new industries under its wider economic transformation plans.
