Karachi’s long-awaited IT Park is taking shape as a major technology and innovation hub, with the project expected to create around 15,000 jobs and contribute nearly $100 million in ICT exports.
Developed by the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) near Jinnah International Airport, the 1.18 million-square-foot facility is designed to provide a modern ecosystem for technology companies, startups, freelancers and emerging businesses.
The park will include corporate offices, startup spaces, incubation centres, co-working areas, a data centre, research facilities and dedicated innovation hubs.
The project is expected to support the growth of several emerging sectors, including artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, fintech, data analytics and other digital technologies.
By bringing businesses, startups and technology professionals together under one roof, the facility aims to encourage collaboration, innovation and investment in Pakistan’s technology sector.
Despite facing delays in the past, the Karachi IT Park is now listed as under construction, marking a significant development in efforts to strengthen the country’s digital infrastructure.
Once operational, the facility could provide new opportunities for skilled professionals while helping technology businesses expand their local and international presence.
The project is also expected to contribute to Pakistan’s broader digital economy by supporting IT exports, creating employment opportunities and providing startups with access to infrastructure and business support.
