Fuel Price Increases! Petrol Surges By Rs. 2.31, Diesel by Rs. 0.78 Per Litre

Pakistan has revised petroleum prices effective October 9, 2026, with both petrol and High-Speed Diesel (HSD) becoming more expensive.

The price of Motor Spirit, commonly known as petrol, has increased by Rs. 2.31 per litre, taking the new price to Rs. 398.96 per litre.

Meanwhile, the price of High-Speed Diesel has risen by Rs. 0.78 per litre, reaching Rs. 395.72 per litre.

The latest adjustment is expected to have an impact across the transport and logistics sectors, as fuel prices can influence commuting costs, freight charges and the operating expenses of businesses that rely heavily on transportation.

The revision also comes as fuel prices remain closely watched by consumers and businesses, particularly because changes in petroleum rates can have wider effects on transportation and the cost of moving goods across the country.

The new rates will remain applicable from October 9, with motorists and businesses adjusting to the latest fuel price increase.
