Pakistan have reportedly secured a victory over Sri Lanka, giving Sahibzada Farhan a winning start to his tenure as the national T20I captain.
The result marks an encouraging beginning for Farhan as he takes on the responsibility of leading Pakistan’s T20 side in a new chapter of the team’s international cricket journey.
Farhan’s appointment comes after he led Pakistan to a silver medal at the 2026 Asian Games and delivered an impressive batting performance at the T20 World Cup earlier this year.
His leadership will be closely watched as Pakistan look to build a competitive team, strengthen their performances in the shortest format and prepare for upcoming international challenges.
The series against Sri Lanka provides an opportunity for Pakistan to assess their team combination, give players opportunities to prove themselves and establish a consistent approach to T20 cricket.
A winning start under Farhan could provide valuable momentum as the new captain begins shaping the side according to his plans.
With expectations high among cricket fans, attention will now turn to how Pakistan maintain their form under their new T20I skipper and whether Farhan can translate this promising beginning into sustained success for the national team.
