Iran’s daily crude oil production capacity has increased from 3.43 million barrels in August 2024 to 3.715 million barrels per day by September 2026, reflecting growth in the country’s oil production capabilities over the two-year period.
The increase of approximately 285,000 barrels per day highlights Iran’s efforts to strengthen its position in the global energy market and expand its oil production potential.
Crude oil remains a major component of Iran’s energy sector and an important source of revenue for its economy.
The change comes amid ongoing developments in global oil markets, where production levels, international demand and geopolitical conditions continue to influence energy prices and supply.
