A Karachi court has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Dania Shah in a case involving the alleged circulation of private videos of late television host and politician Aamir Liaquat Hussain.
The order was issued by a Judicial Magistrate in Karachi’s East District on October 19, 2026, after Shah failed to appear before the court. The judge rejected her request for exemption from personal appearance and directed police to arrest her and bring her to court.
During the hearing, Shah’s lawyer, Liaquat Gabol, told the court that his client was unwell and unable to attend the proceedings. He also assured the court that she would appear before the next hearing.
However, the court did not accept the request and expressed displeasure over her absence. The hearing was adjourned until October 28, 2026.
The case began after Dua Aamir, the daughter of the late television personality, filed a complaint over the alleged circulation of her father’s private videos. The matter is being pursued under Pakistan’s cybercrime laws.
Dania Shah has previously denied responsibility for sharing the videos. The case remains under trial, and the allegations against her have not been finally decided by the court.
