FESCO CEO & His 3 Sons Face Alleged Tax Evasion & Money Laundering Case Involving More Than Rs. 320 Million

The Faisalabad Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Inland Revenue has registered a case against Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Amir Pannu and his three sons over allegations involving tax evasion and money laundering.

According to the case, authorities have alleged that more than Rs320 million in taxes were evaded during 2025 and 2026. The investigation claims that the allegedly undisclosed funds were later used to acquire assets, including properties, with some transactions reportedly made in the names of Pannu’s sons.

The authorities have also alleged that gifts and property purchases were used as part of the transactions involving the funds. The case has therefore raised questions about the source and movement of the money as well as the declaration of assets for tax purposes.

However, Pannu has rejected the allegations and offered a different explanation regarding the properties mentioned in the case. He said the assets were inherited properties and maintained that their value had already been declared as taxable income.

Pannu further stated that he would contest the case and defend his position before the relevant authorities.

The registration of the case marks the beginning of a legal process, and the allegations against the individuals have yet to be established in court. The investigation is expected to examine the financial records, property transactions and tax declarations connected with the case.

The development has attracted attention because Pannu heads FESCO, one of the major power distribution companies operating in Punjab. The case will now proceed through the relevant legal and investigative channels as authorities examine the allegations and the accused parties present their defence.
