Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir has credited Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi for taking steps to improve cricket in the country.
Amir has previously praised the PCB management for supporting players and helping them return to the national team. In April 2024, he acknowledged the board’s role in his own comeback to international cricket after nearly four years away from the team.
The PCB has taken several steps during Naqvi’s tenure, including changes to the selection committee and discussions with former players about strengthening domestic cricket and improving the national team’s performance.
Amir’s comments come as Pakistan cricket continues to face questions about team performance, player selection and long-term planning. The board’s challenge remains to turn administrative changes and investment into consistent results on the field.
