According to sources, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has sent notice to Multan’s Shaukat ‘Bikhari’ after discovering his assets.
After seeing the information of assets owned by the beggar, who is considered to be Multan’s ‘richest’ beggar, the country’s ultimate tax collection body was surprised.
The beggar has also been asked to explain how he was able to get Rs10 million in life insurance for his children. Shaukat ‘Bikhari’ was questioned about his sources of income and why he failed to file tax reports.
Shaukat ‘Bikhari’ received the notification when the FBR discovered a Rs1.7 million deposit in his bank account, although his children are enrolled in the city’s most costly school.
