Indian sports minister hints to boycott from Champions trophy in Pakistan.

Anurag Thakur, India’s sports minister, said on Wednesday that a decision on India’s participation in the 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan will be made “when the time comes,” citing “security concerns” for international teams touring the country. The ICC awarded Pakistan the hosting rights to the 2025 Champions Trophy on Tuesday, marking the country’s first big cricket event in more than two decades.

“Many countries have backed out of going there in the past due to security worries. Players were even attacked while playing over there, as you all know, and that’s a major concern,” Thakur told reporters.

“”Many factors are considered when international championships are held. We’ll decide what to do when the time comes. Then we’ll examine the security situation and make a decision “Added he.
