According to official sources, Former Pakistani bowler Mohammad Amir may consider coming out of retirement if the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) approaches him.
Amir told a virtual news conference held during the ongoing T10 league in Abu Dhabi that he can’t announce his availability for the Pakistan team unless the PCB gives him a guarantee of selection.
Amir also said that he had multiple rounds of talks with Wasim Khan, the former CEO of the PCB, about returning to the national team, but that now that he’s gone, he’s not sure if the current PCB management would approach him.
He stated that he may make his availability for the national team public on his own, but he is concerned that the PCB may deny him the opportunity to play for Pakistan again by claiming that the team does not require such players.
In December of last year, the 29-year-old announced his retirement from international cricket, citing a significant disagreement with the team’s administration.
