Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Pakistan’s interior minister, launched Pakistan’s first-ever environmentally friendly plastic road in Islamabad on Monday.
In an interview with the press, he stated that the installation of a plastic road would slow the development of pollution in the region.
He stated that the programme is intended to reduce the impact of plastic trash contamination on the ecosystem.
Rashid stated that the concept would not only be implemented in Islamabad but also in other cities across the country.
He praised Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) for launching the federal capital’s plastic road project.
